Architectural Round Up

The first news to celebrate is the ability of Timspec to now do presentations and help ADNZ members gain cpd points. the presentation on Accoya, is available to any members of ADNZ . Want to know more contact Helen Barth on or call (021) 283 6967. NZIA members we can help as we have a presentation for you as well. Again talk to Helen and let her know what you want. we have Stephen in Christchurch and after Xmas have a new chap joining us based in Hamilton who will be helping with presentations in Auckland to Napier and New Plymouth. Chris Sweet joins us in mid January.

Jasmax designed Accoya cladding job. The Terraces nearing completion

Some fantastic work nearing completion. The Jasmax Terraces job in Christchurch is looking fabulous. A new job we are working on is a large job again for Jasmax which is a CLT and Accoya clad job.

In Auckland we are supplying Accoya to the 7th house we have clad for Trevor Wilson who has found Accoya to be a great substrate for the dark colours on his house designs.

Looking great, random thickness and width Accoya cladding

Accoya has recently received yet another accolade in being recognized with “Declare” label with a top rating. Check it all out at

In other news we now have 12 cladding systems Codemark certified covering 3 species (Accoya, Radiata Pine, as well as Western Red Cedar) in a range of horizontal and vertical profiles. You can find them at (after Xmas) and of course they will be available at after Xmas as well. The new systems are simpler and with more options we think offer a fabulous range of options.

/imagesdb/Issue/8e64db45-79ee-4e03-8970-65aa52a393c8.jpgSupply Overview
Supply dynamics show tight Cedar supplies, US hardwoods in general okay, Kwila decking very interesting. Local timbers we see Radiata clears as being good, but Rimu very poor.
An election, banking issues and shortage of skilled labour makes for interesting times.
